Hi there! I’m Leanne

Some of my favourite memories with my own kids aren’t the big milestone moments – they’re the ordinary adventures. River floats, campfires, trail walks, and the beautiful chaos of being together. Those are the moments I never want to forget, and a big part of why I photograph families the way I do.

Many families come to Fernie wanting meaningful photos together, but worry it’ll feel stressful or take away from their vacation. Instead, they often tell me their session was one of the highlights of their trip – a relaxed evening exploring, laughing and slowing down.

That’s why I do this. I want your session to feel like part of the adventure, not another thing to manage. I want your kids to remember having fun together, and I want you to have photographs that preserve this season exactly as it is.

Beautiful, messy, meaningful, and worth remembering.

Whether it’s a reunion, a vacation, or a rare gathering, these times are priceless. From belly laughs to quiet hugs, I’ll document your family just as they are.

I blend in for candid moments as well as getting my bossy-girl pants on to organize the big group shot as well as other groupings. Some of your crew may roll their eyes now, but they’ll cherish the photos later.

A day in the life

This is your story and your adventure! Choose whether it’s at home, a Fernie locale or a romp in the woods, at the lake – or a combination!

In our planning together, you’ll reflect on what matters most – what makes you tick, how your personalities shine, and the connections you cherish. and we’ll craft a session that feels completely YOU!

We typically spend around 4 hours together and you’ll end up with lots of beautiful candid moments.

Family Portraits

Every family session includes relaxed, unhurried time to allow your kids (and you!) to feel comfy with me and my camera.

This ensures I capture a full, natural, and varied glimpse into your family – both as a whole and in smaller groups (like just the kids, each parent with each child, and couple portraits).

We typically spend an hour or two together, keeping things fun and low-pressure.
